With major frameworks including AMP8 , Thames Tideway , Scottish Water resilience programmes , and HS2 water infrastructure , this role offers the chance to work on nationally significant projects at a senior leadership level. The Role: We're seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to take a lead role in delivering complex water and wastewater projects across the UK. You’ll provide technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality delivery across multi-disciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and technical delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects Provide technical governance and assurance across civil engineering outputs Manage client relationships and contribute to strategic project planning Guide and mentor junior staff across the project lifecycle Contribute to innovation and best practice in civil design and delivery Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent – required Strong background in water sector civil engineering, ideally within consultancy or major framework delivery Knowledge of UK standards, CDM regulations, and multi-disciplinary project coordination Expertise in at least one of the following: water/wastewater networks, treatment works, bioresources, hydraulic conveyance What’s on Offer: Up to 10% company pension contribution Flexible and hybrid working model Enhanced parental leave, fertility and family-forming benefits Option to buy/sell annual leave Professional membership and chartership support Inclusive, supportive culture with a focus on equity and well being Take the lead in shaping the UK’s water future.
