Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is a major UK-based multidisciplinary engineering consultancy and have been providing high-quality services to our clients for over 100 years across a range of sectors across multiple countries.

This company are one of the largest partnerships of consulting engineers in the UK.

The firm employs circa 500 staff.

Below are the key attributes our client is looking to recruit for:

Someone who can support with project delivery, technical checking, and providing design guidance to less senior engineers, and require little supervision themselves.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of UK private sector experience
  • Proven experience in the design of private infrastructure, ideally within the logistics sector
  • Strong drainage design skills, with proficiency in MicroDrainage and/or Flow
  • Experience in ground modelling, cut and fill, and level design using Civil 3D (with use of feature lines specifically)
  • Competence in Flood Risk Assessments (Zones 1–3)
  • Paving design, including external yard slabs to TR66 standards
  • Familiarity with D&B contract dynamics and experience working as an innovated engineer
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles

Desirable:

  • Highways design experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Aspiration to eventually project manage multidisciplinary schemes
