We have an opening for a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our client's London office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an award-winning Civil & Structural Design consultancy. You will be joining a well-established team of talented Engineers and working as part of a team of 45.

Our client offers a full range of urban engineering services, taking projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction. This includes advice on large-scale masterplans, public realm interventions, and the spaces between buildings.

Additionally, they provide detailed design for below ground drainage, including all technical discussions with water authorities for new connections, diversions, and building over agreements, as well as detailed external works, public realm, highways design, and transport planning services.

The role

The ideal Engineer must be technically strong and passionate, with some experience in leading a small team of Engineers. You will produce high-quality technical designs on a range of refurbishments and new builds across various sectors.

What you need to succeed

• 5-8 years of experience in Civil Engineering design consultancy
• Chartered or nearing Chartership with the ICE
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience developing SuDs strategies for major developments
• Experience in designing below ground drainage systems and SuDs elements for buildings, highways, and public realm
• Experience in flood mitigation and developing sites in Flood Zone 3 is advantageous
• Knowledge of design software including Windes (Microdrainage), Civil 3D, and use of BIM
• Experience managing a small team of engineers
