OverviewSenior Civil/Structural Engineer - Net Zero role at AtkinsRéalis. Ideally based in Birmingham with a flexible mix of home-working and office collaboration. We also welcome applicants who prefer other locations within the UK.Join a growing Net Zero Energy Practice within the Infrastructure division, delivering projects across electricity transmission and distribution, gas storage, battery storage, green hydrogen, power and industrial assets, and related design and assessment work. You\'ll be part of a multidisciplinary team with expertise in the electrical transmission and distribution sector and opportunities to contribute to other Net Zero energy work.ResponsibilitiesSupervise, develop, and mentor others.Manage technical aspects of civil/structural engineering projects across design phases from optioneering to detailed design.Price works and prepare technical proposals.Conduct condition and structural assessments of existing structures to identify suitability for reuse.Coordinate design across multidisciplinary teams.Prepare specifications and scoping documents.Lead design capability in GTC, India.What You Can BringMaster\’s degree (MEng/MSc) in Civil or Structural Engineering.Chartered Engineer status and membership of ICE or IStructE is desirable.Strong technical background with experience in steel and reinforced concrete design using relevant UK and international codes/standards.Experience in the electricity supply industry, preferably HV substations, is desirable but not mandatory.Why Work for AtkinsRéalis?We are committed to Net Zero and delivering secure, sustainable energy projects across nuclear power, renewables, decarbonisation, new builds, and energy efficiency.
