Your role

As a senior member of the AWS Engineering Team, you will collaborate with clients to design, build, and implement cloud-native solutions. You will leverage your expertise in AWS and related technologies to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery, and acting as a trusted advisor. Your responsibilities include:

• Driving cloud-native solutions using AWS services, DevOps principles, and modern software engineering practices.
• Building and managing scalable infrastructure and serverless architectures with Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and AWS serverless technologies.
• Promoting continuous improvement through Agile and SCRUM methodologies and stakeholder engagement.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to team members to foster growth and learning.

Your skills and experience

You should demonstrate:

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred) and cloud-native application development.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and managing containerized applications at scale.
• A strong foundation in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Application development skills in Java, Go, or Python.
• A DevOps mindset with experience in continuous delivery, GitOps, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A commitment to continuous learning; AWS certification is a bonus but not essential, with training support available.

Security Clearance

This role requires Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must have resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria. Some positions are restricted to UK citizens for security reasons.
