Your role

As a senior member of the AWS Engineering Team, you will design, build, and implement cutting-edge cloud-native solutions. You will apply your AWS and related technology expertise to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, own end-to-end delivery, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues.

  • Drive cloud-native solutions by leveraging AWS services, DevOps principles, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Build and manage robust, scalable infrastructure and serverless architectures using Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and AWS serverless technologies.
  • Foster continuous improvement by embracing Agile and SCRUM, and facilitate stakeholder engagement to align on project goals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, supporting skill-building and a growth-oriented environment.
  • Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment with Capgemini’s equity and diversity values as part of everyday work life.

Your Skills And Experience

You should demonstrate:

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred) and knowledge of cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and managing containerised applications at scale.
  • Strong foundation in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Application development skills in one or more languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
  • DevOps mindset with practical experience in continuous delivery, GitOps, and Agile/SCRUM.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills for client relationships.
  • A commitment to continuous learning; AWS certification is a bonus (not required). Training support is provided where needed.

Your Security Clearance

To be appointed, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. You must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria. You may be asked about your citizenship or eligibility during the process, and some posts are restricted to UK Nationals for security reasons.
