OverviewSenior Control and Automation Engineer role at ITI Group in Glasgow. We are looking for a Senior Control and Automation Engineer to join our team in Glasgow.Working in a team to design, build, test and implement industrial control systems (hardware and software), utilising Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software packages and Industrial Network solutions. Configuration of PC software packages to provide user interface and data processing functions. Integration of software packages using standard protocols and custom developed software/scripts. Working across our offices and on client sites throughout the UK if required.Salary: Above Industry Standard.Note: We are continuously seeking skilled Systems Engineers and Senior Systems Engineers to join our growing team. ITI Group is committed to innovation and transformation, with a culture that allows us to inspire and deliver a safe, sustainable future where people shine.Summary of Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, development, programming and testing of mission critical innovative solutions under the guidance of more experienced Engineers.Work as a key team member resolving hardware and software challenges for assigned solution areas.Design and configuration of cyber-secure infrastructure and communications between solution components using industry standard protocols.Develop a thorough understanding of ITI’s operational procedures and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.Assemble, supervise and electrical testing of solution hardware (including functional safety systems) under the guidance of experienced Engineers.Install and commission of solutions on customer sites.Provide support and mentoring for more junior engineers.Summary of RequirementsWe are looking for:Experience and KnowledgeFive or more years experience of control system project delivery, demonstrable experience of design, implementation, test and commissioning roles within a project teamBasic understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA’s, Wiring Schematics and Termination Diagrams.Good fundamental electrical knowledge and ability to understand/interpret system drawingsSound grasp of general IT/OT Technologies and development methodologiesAwareness/understanding of Quality Management System proceduresKnowledge of Windows Operating System configuration and lockdown.Knowledge of network switch and firewall configuration and network management packagesElectrical & Electronic or Electrical or Software Engineering degree (min 2:1) or similar qualificationUndertaken a structured project delivery lifecycleExperience with software development and configuration tools, methods and processesExperience with Siemens range of PLCs/HMIs / DCS / DrivesSkills and AbilitiesProficient in generation of formal technical documentation for the full life cycle of projectsProficient in Microsoft Office productsAbility to estimate time and costs for common tasksEligible for security clearance checks for access to client sitesExcellent ability to capture information, analyse it, and articulate an appropriate solutionExcellent verbal, written and interactive communication skillsAble to operate self-sufficiently on customer’s premises, including production locationsCan demonstrate the appropriate level of commercial awareness and diligenceValuesIn line with our company values we are looking for someone who will: Deliver what we promise; demand the highest levels of Safety and Security; apply Technical Mastery; be committed to Continual Learning; challenge the norm to make a difference through Innovation.What We Can OfferJoin ITI Group to Inspire and Innovate; a place where you can shine.
