Controls Engineers – Manchester & North West Location: Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire (Hybrid / Remote options available) Employment Type: Permanent
Cressida Consulting is working with a range of established automation and special-purpose machinery companies across the North West who are looking to strengthen their Controls & Software Engineering teams.
We have multiple opportunities available from Head of Controls / Department Lead through to Controls Engineers focused on design, development and commissioning.
Typical responsibilities:
*
Full-lifecycle automation project work – from specification and design through to FAT and site commissioning
*
PLC, HMI, and Safety programming (primarily Siemens TIA Portal)
*
Integration of drives, sensors, and control systems
*
Supporting installation, testing and fault-finding
*
Contributing to continuous improvement and controls standardisation
We’re looking for candidates with:
*
Proven experience in automation, machinery, or systems integration environments
*
Strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal (PLC/HMI/Drives)
*
An interest in full-lifecycle project involvement
*
Good communication and problem-solving skills
