About Our Opportunity

As a Senior Data Engineer you will play a leading role in the maintenance and evolution of our Snowflake-based data platform. This role blends BAU responsibility, technical ownership. and architectural oversight. You will support and stabilise production pipelines while driving structural improvements, ensuring alignment with scalable design, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

You’ll work across a layered medallion architecture (Bronze - Silver - Gold), owning core pipelines and models that feed our reporting, operational tooling and client-facing outputs. The platform is functional and actively used across the business, but we are continually enhancing quality, governance and modularity.

What we need from you

\n \nBachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other highly analytical field) or equivalent practical experience. \n

\nMinimum 5 years in data engineering roles, ideally with some mentoring or technical leadership responsibilities. \n

Deep, hands-on experience with: \n Snowflake (performance tuning, multi-schema environments, RBAC, warehouse optimisation) \n

dbt Core or Cloud, including incremental logic, macros, YAML structure, and documentation \n

Git-based workflows (e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub) \n

\n

\n Advanced SQL and data modelling expertise, for large-scale, layered warehouse environments (including medallion or modular layering). \n

Excellent understanding of data modelling patterns, including SCD, dimensional and third normal form. \n

Working knowledge of: \n

Experience working in Agile data teams and delivering to deadlines in sprint-based environments.
