Senior Design Engineer Bristol £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Hybrid + EAP + Benefits

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field. You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role uses Solidworks and CFD/FEA is also involved.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of pump product lines - using Solidworks.
• Work as part of a small team in a collaborative manner.
• Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept to production.
• NPD and modification projects.
• Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
• Perform engineering calcs and CFD - computational fluid dynamics.
• Select appropriate materials for pump construction.
• Conduct FEA.
• Develop and execute test plans for prototypes.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards.

Candidate/Qualifications

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or fluid dynamics. MSc is ideal.
• Experience with 3D modelling software - Inventor or Solidworks.
• 5+ years experience within the Pump Manufacturing industry - essential.
• Strong experience with CFD and FEA software.
