Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of design engineers, supporting Project Managers and delivery teams.
- Analyse preconstruction data, ensuring project designs meet client specifications.
- Solve design problems and develop solutions for mechanical equipment in power and process control.
- Produce design deliverables (specifications, drawings, data sheets, schedules) per contract requirements.
- Ensure design risk assessments consider innovation, safety, cost, and time constraints.
- Provide technical support to preconstruction and project delivery teams.
- Assist in identifying and pre-qualifying subcontractors.
- Participate in client meetings and coordinate with third-party contractors.
- Ensure designs are submitted and approved by the Client Project Manager.
- Continuously develop skills and stay updated on industry innovations.
- Ensure all design activities comply with the company\'s Integrated Management Systems.
- Provide guidance to site, construction, and remote delivery teams.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
- Electrical engineering qualification.
- Proven track record of design delivery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to lead and motivate.
- Ability to travel, plan, manage, and prioritise workload.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience in the water industry.
