Role Overview

This role will see you take a key position in creating CAD models, detailed component designs, and drawings, while working across multiple projects within our motorsport programmes.


You will collaborate closely with Design Team Leaders and Technical Project Leaders to ensure projects meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget requirements. The role offers the opportunity to work across all phases of design, from concept through to testing, while contributing to the ongoing development of next-generation motorsport technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create engineering CAD schemes, detailed designs, and drawings (3D & 2D).
  • Deliver high-quality design output in line with company standards and guidelines.
  • Work across multiple projects, supporting Design Team Leaders and Technical Project Leaders.
  • Contribute to technical specifications, mass trackers, and project reports.
  • Support the management of external suppliers for design, development, and production.
  • Provide inputs to Design Review Meetings and Project Review Meetings.
  • Assist with rig and track test activities, documentation, and FMEA processes.
  • Ensure technical compliance with governing body requirements.
  • Maintain disciplined and organised technical documentation.


Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering, ideally in motorsport or high-performance environments.
  • Proficient in CAD (CATIA 3DX preferred) for both 3D and 2D design.
  • Strong knowledge of part/assembly design, component specification, and stress analysis.
  • Experience with FEM calculations and PLM systems (Dassault 3D Experience preferred).
  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail with a methodical, problem-solving approach.
