You'll be responsible for managing the full design lifecycle, ensuring technical standards are met, and issuing construction packs post-acceptance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage a design team to produce fit-for-purpose designs.\nLiaise with clients, incumbents, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.\nMonitor team performance against productivity standards and drive continuous improvement.\nIdentify and address design-related cost and programme impacts.\nSupport the Design Manager in team development and motivation.\nEnsure adoption standards and technical compliance are met.\nAssess training and development needs within the team.\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nDegree in Engineering (essential).\nStrong knowledge of current legislation, technical standards, codes of practice, and engineering recommendations.\nExcellent verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nDesirable\n\nMaster's degree, CEng or IEng.\nMulti-utility design experience.\nBMT experience.\n\nConditions of Employment\n\nFull UK driving licence required.\n\nBenefits\n\nAnnual cost-of-living pay increase.\nCompany pension contributions up to 5% (with employee contribution of 4%).\n33 days holiday including bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 2 weeks.\nEnhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay.\nHybrid working options available.\nCareer development opportunities tailored to your aspirations.This employer is proud to champion equity, , and inclusion across all areas of the business.
