Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: Negotiable + pension + 25 holidays + training & career progression

Hours: 36 hours per week Monday – Friday / early finish Friday

Location/Availability: Bolton, England, United Kingdom (notified locations and posting dates listed below)

Note: NO VISA Sponsorship available

The Person

• Experience of designing special purpose machinery
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, and experience producing designs for manufacture
• 2D and 3D experience (AutoCAD, Solidworks etc)
• Understand basics of motor and gearbox power, material and equipment throughput rates
• ATEX or PED understanding would be useful but not essential
• Designing machinery for food or chemical process would be an advantage but not essential

The Role

• Evaluate and assess customer specifications / calculations and convert into machine for manufacture
• Collaborate and interact with technical sales engineers
• Working on projects from concept to completion
• Create manufacturing drawings
