The Company\n\nOur client is a specialist manufacturer. Due to a period of growth, they are now looking to take on a Senior Design Engineer.\n\nThe Role\n\n * The role will give the candidate responsibility of all the projects they are currently designing.\n\n * Manage design function covering all live projects.\n\n * Liaise with Project Manager and Production to ensure timely handovers.\n\n * Support live programs and forecasted programs of work to highlight any high-volume times.\n\n * Keep track of projects throughout the design phase.\n\n * Work to the design program for the team and ensure the dates are adhered to from both their team and the customer’s approval turn-around.\n\n * Offer site support for any specific queries on a project at any stage.\n\n * Check drawings prior to being sent for approval and manufacture.\n\n * Weekly update report on on-going projects.\n\nThe Person\n\n * Ideally degree qualified and have worked in a similar role.\n\n * Autodesk Revit experience is essential.\n\n * Good computer literacy and working knowledge of the full MS Office suite.\n\n * Able and willing to visit site/attend meetings now and then to support our other offices.\n\n * Self-driven individual to work on their own initiative and also work well as part of our wider team with a high attention to detail.\n\n * Good time management skills and ability to work due diligently to tight deadlines.\n\n * Good interpersonal and communication skills.\n\n * The successful candidate will be comfortable with design Engineering principles and understanding of managing a full design function.\n\n * Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems (AutoCAD and Solidworks )\n\n * A dynamic approach to problem solving.\n\n * Confident communication with customers answering any technical based enquiries.\n\n * Ability to interpret customer requirements to create documents and information packs.\n\n * Experience of managing a small team.\n\nThe Benefits\n\n * You will be working for a well-established growing employer.\n\n * An excellent salary.\n\n * A company experiencing continued growth, expansion and investment.\n\n * The company are fully compliant with the latest health and safety requirements for current safe working practices.\n\n * 4 day working week
