Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of mechanical design projects from concept through to prototype and production.
  • Translate system and functional requirements into detailed engineering solutions.
  • Develop innovative designs for new products, service fixes, and product enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, customer specifications, and cost targets.
  • Produce accurate design documentation including BOMs and technical drawings.
  • Support prototype builds and testing phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives.

Criteria

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD systems.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • Passionate about engineering and continuous improvement.
