RGB are working with a leading civil engineering main contractor seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Greater London.

About the Role: This role offers the chance to take ownership of complex design packages on major infrastructure schemes, provide technical leadership, and play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate project design phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Produce, review, and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. Collaborate with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Undertake site inspections and resolve design issues as they arise. Support project planning, risk management, and value engineering. Ensure design deliverables meet programme, budget, and quality requirements. Stay up to date with the latest design methods, standards, and technologies. Qualifications: Degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline (Master’s desirable). Chartered Engineer (CEng) or progressing towards accreditation. Proven civil engineering design experience, ideally with a main contractor. Knowledge of UK standards, codes, and regulations. Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or similar). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
