W Talent are now seeking a highly skilled, Senior Design Engineer to join a large engineering business headquartered in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in innovative design projects, working alongside a strong in-house design team, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support design projects from concept through to delivery. Produce high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings using Solid Edge, supported by Teamcenter and Siemens tools. Collaborate with the wider design team of 8 designers at the Rotherham HQ. Provide technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members. Work closely with production, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement in design processes, standards, and best practice. Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in a Design Engineer role, ideally within an engineering or bespoke manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Solid Edge, with experience of Teamcenter and Siemens environments. Strong mechanical design knowledge and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
