Sound United are seeking to recruit a contractor fulfilling the role of a Senior Development Engineer to work with our Bowers & Wilkins brand on a 6-month fixed term contract; the successful applicant will be responsible for and supporting the development of passive loudspeaker programs with influence over all technical aspects. What you’ll do Lead and support loudspeaker development projects. Oversee acoustic, mechanical, and electronics integration. Collaborate across teams to deliver high-performance audio products. Own the acoustic performance and fine-tuning of loudspeaker products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—mechanical, transducer, electronics, and software—to ensure product excellence. Partner with Quality Assurance to guarantee reliability and manufacturability. Work closely with Research to integrate cutting-edge technologies into new designs. Support development and tuning activities, including occasional travel. Organize and manage workload effectively across multiple projects. Benchmark and uphold high audio performance standards.
What we’re looking for Degree in Engineering (Acoustics, Electronics, etc.) 5+ years in product development Experience in consumer audio Strong problem-solving and communication skills Passion for music and engineering
