We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join us as part of our team.

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based highload infrastructure while ensuring compliance with PCI DSS security standards. You will play a crucial role in automating deployments, optimizing system performance, and maintaining reliability in a high-scale environment. The role requires expertise in global infrastructure deployment across multiple regions and availability zones, ensuring Active-Active architecture with redundancy and zero-downtime deployments.

About the project

You will work on a Payment Orchestration Platform , a greenfield project designed to optimize transaction processing, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver a seamless user experience. As part of this project, you will have the opportunity to influence its architecture and technical decisions from the ground up.

Team

The team is being built from scratch to support a new client and a high-impact project. The initial plan is to form a full-scale team consisting of 4 backend engineers, 1 frontend engineer, 1 QA, 1 Business Analyst (BA), and 1 Solution Architect (SA). As the project scales, the goal is to expand to two full-scale teams, bringing the total team size to 15 specialists. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established team, shaping the architecture, processes, and best practices from the ground up.

Work within the EU time zone (UTC+1/UTC+2), which is 2 hours behind Ukraine.

• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure for highload systems, ensuring scalability, security, and availability.
• Deploy applications globally across multiple regions and availability zones, ensuring Active-Active core components with redundancy.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and support zero-downtime releases.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices in compliance with PCI DSS.

We’re looking for you if you have

• 5+ years of DevOps experience, with a focus on AWS, CI/CD, and highload environments.
• Experience deploying and maintaining global infrastructure with multi-region availability.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proven track record of achieving high availability for mission-critical services.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring, security best practices, and compliance with PCI DSS standards.

Bonus Points

• Experience with DORA compliance for financial service providers.
