We are expanding our highly-skilled development team by adding an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer.We’re building the blueprint for what it means to be a true partner in web and software development.Our vision is clear: deliver holistic, performance-driven solutions that empower ambitious brands to thrive online.Inline with our vision we’re creating a DevOps function from the ground up, and we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the charge.If you’re someone who thrives in a high-autonomy role, loves optimising infrastructure for scalability and speed, and wants to influence how DevOps is embedded across a modern agency—this role is for you.Your MissionAs our first dedicated DevOps hire, you’ll architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance environments optimised for:Magento 2 (including complex multi-store setups)Laravel (API and full-stack apps)React & modern JS front-endsYou’ll help define the infrastructure strategy, tooling, and DevOps processes that elevate delivery across every client project.What You’ll Be DoingArchitecting Linux-based infrastructure across staging, testing, and productionOwning CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) to streamline deploysManaging and optimising performance and security across the Cloudflare ecosystem, including:DNS, WAF, CDN, and edge cachingPage Rules, Rate Limiting, Workers, Access, and Bot ManagementZero Trust and tunnel configurationsAutomating infrastructure and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, or similarMonitoring and improving performance with tools like New Relic, Sentry, TideWaysImplementing high-availability and scalable solutions for LAMP/LEMP stacksManaging secure, repeatable deployments for Magento 2, Laravel, and React appsChampioning DevOps culture and best practices across the development teamAdvising on and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure etc.)What You’ll NeedMust-haves:Comprehensive experience in a DevOps or SRE role, ideally in a multi-project environmentDeep experience with web stacks: Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Redis, Varnish, ElasticsearchProven expertise in managing and optimising Cloudflare across DNS, security, performance, and accessExperience with Magento 2 infrastructure and deploymentCI/CD experience with BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similarSecurity-first mindset around apps, servers, and networksNice to have:Kubernetes, ECS, or container orchestrationFront-end deployment workflows for React/Next.js/ViteExperience leading or mentoring DevOps processesExperience across multiple simultaneous projectsWhat You’ll GetA rare opportunity to build a function from the ground up —your strategy, your influenceHybrid working with flexible hoursClear technical leadership pathwayA values-led agency team that puts delivery quality and long-term client success above allLocation: Sheffield, UKType: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to £70,000How to ApplySend your CV, a short intro, and a link to something you’ve built, secured, or optimised to us.Registered in England & Wales.
