Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) - Contract

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to help scale a high-performance, ad-supported video streaming platform used by millions globally. You'll take full ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, and performance optimisation for low-latency, event-driven Java microservices.

What You'll Do

Design and deploy AWS environments (VPCs, networking, automation, and security)
Build CI/CD pipelines and immutable infrastructure for Java microservices
Implement observability across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
Engineer for scale and resilience across multi-region AWS environments
Optimise JVM, Akka, and microservices for low-latency, high-throughput workloads
Lead cost optimisation and performance reporting initiatives

What You'll Bring

3-5+ years of senior-level AWS platform engineering experience
Hands-on with EKS/ECS, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions/Jenkins, and automation (Bash/Python)
Strong understanding of Akka/Java microservices, JVM tuning, and distributed architectures
Experience managing high-scale systems (10k-1M+ concurrent users)
Fluency in English (C1 level or above)
