Overview

A contract position for an experienced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) & Communications Engineer with proven Software Defined Radio and DSP design experience. Radio System DSP Design & FPGA based.

Outside IR35 - On-site/Hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Senior DSP Engineer to work with an established company on cutting-edge Telematic Systems.
• Use DSP and RF technology including associate hardware and software design.
• As a key member of our engineering team, work on high-performance radio system design and development. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to influence both technical direction and delivery.
• Report directly to the CTO and collaborate across teams to bring advanced solutions to life.
• Key areas of interest/required experience: high dynamic range broadband radio receiver design; Software Defined Radio and hybrid analogue/SDR systems; DSP algorithms and devices (including FPGA-based solutions); signal search and identification techniques; radio propagation, noise, and interference.

The Ideal Candidate

• Is confident in both analogue and DSP aspects of receiver design.
• Has a strong grasp of RF, DSP, and communications principles.
• Is proficient in at least one DSP methodology or language.
• Holds a degree or HND in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
