We focus on enhancing asset efficiency, ensuring high availability, and reducing maintenance costs.

We are looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to provide professional technical assistance and advice to support our Manufacturing Engineering Team working on innovative EPC projects in the UK.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, based at our control panel manufacturing facility in Haydock, with the option for hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the design of electrical control panels and associated systems as a senior member of the in-house team of engineers.
Act as a technical authority for the EC&I discipline, supporting the Engineering Manager in meeting business goals.
Translate customer requirements into effective engineering solutions.
Plan and execute tasks to meet objectives on time, maintaining control over costs and quality.
Manage client expectations regarding project scope.
Prepare, review, and approve engineering and design estimates; monitor project costs related to progress, scope changes, and man-hours.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in regulated environments such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, or power generation is highly desirable.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
At least 10 years of professional engineering design or technical specialist experience.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering, including design, testing, and evaluation.

Additional Knowledge/Experience:

Low Voltage switchgear design
Control and automation system design
Variable drive system design
Experience with AutoCAD, Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical
Familiarity with AMTECH software

Security Clearance:

Possession of security clearance is preferred.
Candidates must meet UK security clearance criteria due to the nature of the work.
