We are looking for a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our Building Services team and lead designs and projects in the Data Centre space.The OpportunityAs a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will be a key part of the Building Services Engineering team, working on multidisciplinary projects and guiding other engineers. You will collaborate with building physicists, sustainability consultants, energy and carbon consultants and BIM modellers. This team is part of the wider region including civil, structural, fire, acoustics, specialist lighting, and other engineering disciplines.In this role you will:Play an active role in all stages of projects from feasibility through to completion, specifically in the Data Centre sector.Apply engineering expertise to shape projects toward net zero carbon.Design buildings that maximise client value while minimising environmental impact in an interdisciplinary environment.Provide leadership to the MEP team on a portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally, ensuring correct technical approaches are applied and carried out appropriately.Demonstrate project management skills with responsibility for financial performance, liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters.Oversee total project delivery through effective team management and delegation to ensure efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple complex projects, reporting to the Project Director.Contribute to the ongoing digital transformation by increasing efficiency through automation and by offering new services via an integrated digital design approach.Is this role right for you?We’re looking for a candidate who:Is degree qualified in Electrical, Building Services or Architectural Engineering and holds Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution (e.g., IET or CIBSE).Has demonstrable background in electrical building services design with experience in leading and delivering Data Centre projects.Has extensive experience of winning and delivering a range of projects and can provide technical leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams including external sub-consultants.Has strong awareness of sector-specific legislation, regulatory requirements and design guidance and future trends.Has knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of energy and carbon and satisfying regulatory requirements.What we offer youWe offer an attractive total reward package with competitive pay, and opportunities to belong, grow and thrive through learning opportunities and impactful work.
