Join Kier as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and play a key role in delivering coordinated, cost-effective building services designs across complex and high-value projects. \n\nYou'll work collaboratively to shape solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.\n\n \n\nLocation: Basingstoke\nBusiness Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME)\nReporting to: Technical Director\nWorking Hours: Full Time, Permanent\n\nWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.\n\nWhat will you be doing?\n\nDevelop detailed electrical designs aligned with project briefs and BSRIA stages\n\nProduce coordinated drawings, specifications, and plant schedules\n\nEnsure compliance with Building Regulations, BREEAM, and SHE policies\n\nSupport inspections, commissioning, and close-out reporting\n\nCollaborate with design, commercial, and construction teams to ensure buildability and quality\n\nWhat will we need from you?\n\nStrong technical expertise in electrical building services design\n\nExperience with design development, cost-effective solutions, and stakeholder engagement\n\nAbility to lead and influence within a multidisciplinary team\n\nKnowledge of relevant software and calculation methods\n\nA proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on quality and efficiency\n\n \n\nWhy Kier Mechanical & Electrical?\n\nKME is a trusted MEP delivery partner within Kier, supporting projects from £5m to £150m across custodial, commercial, health, and science sectors.
