We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys working with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases, from concept development to construction.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work on creating detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for Data Centre/Mission Critical facilities. HDR is an employee-owned firm with transparent financials and a strong performance record, offering many opportunities for career growth.

About You

You should be a competent and experienced designer, capable of managing and developing resources to meet project demands while maintaining technical excellence and regulatory compliance. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Carry out engineering concept to detailed design.
• Produce detailed and installation designs for electrical systems in Data Centres/Mission Critical projects.
• Ensure all projects and reports are technically compliant and of high quality.
• Motivate and manage staff within your group, setting objectives and coaching.
• Implement QA systems and procedures.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, including CDM regulations.
• Adhere to Quality Management System ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• BEng, MSc, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical design, especially for Data Centres.
• Experience managing electrical projects throughout all stages.
• Knowledge of critical electrical systems, MV and LV power, standby generation, UPS, earthing, fire alarm systems.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D coordination.
• Chartered Electrical Engineer (desirable).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus.
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical systems, including power, lighting, life safety, and building management systems.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential.
