Job Description:

Electrical Engineer needed in Southwark. Full-time hours on a temporary basis. Desirable experience includes overseeing electrical contractors' work, preparing reports for progress meetings, reviewing Electrical Installation Condition Reports, and agreeing on remediation works to achieve satisfactory outcomes. Familiarity with domestic fire alarm systems and their certification is also required.

The contract involves delivering a large domestic electrical installation condition reporting programme, completing and certifying remedial works, and handling domestic fire alarm installation and servicing works. Experience in dealing with external contractors, producing reports for meetings, and working in a social housing environment is preferred.

The role is primarily office-based, involving reviewing certification for compliance, site visits to properties, quality control checks, and communication with external stakeholders. Some remote work may be available after a probation period, depending on line manager discretion.

Desirable qualifications include BS7671 18th Edition (2382), Inspection & Testing (2391), and a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installations or equivalent, or a time-served electrical apprenticeship.
