iO Associates is working with a pioneering renewable energy business developing innovative tidal and marine power systems. They're seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and support the design, integration, and commissioning of offshore and onshore electrical infrastructure for cutting-edge marine energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical design, integration, and commissioning of offshore renewable systems

Prepare electrical specifications, SLDs, and layouts for HV, MV, and LV networks

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration

Support procurement and supplier engagement for export cables, junction boxes, monitoring equipment, and cable management

Manage SCADA and grid connection interfaces

Conduct cable sizing, routing, and protection coordination studies

Oversee FAT, SAT, and commissioning of electrical equipment

Ensure compliance with offshore electrical regulations and best practice standards

✅ Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

3+ years' engineering experience in offshore renewables, marine energy, or subsea power

Strong knowledge of HV, MV, and LV systems in marine environments

Experience in cable design, termination, and subsea connections

Proficient in electrical design tools and project scheduling software

Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration

Desirable:

Procurement and supply chain engagement experience

Knowledge of SCADA and monitoring systems

Chartered Engineer status or working towards
