Senior Electrical Engineer (PLC) Aberdeen region Permanent, Full-Time

A global engineering leader is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in PLC control systems to join their innovative team. You’ll contribute to a range of cutting-edge projects spanning multiple fields for both defence and commercial applications. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design and support control systems that operate in some of the world’s most demanding environments.

Key responsibilities: Design control systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial networks (e.g. Profibus, CANbus, Ethernet). Support new product development and field upgrades with robust, safety-critical engineering solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including sales, production, and supply chain — to deliver technical excellence. Create and review engineering documentation: specifications, test procedures, assembly instructions, and certifications. Act as a technical authority on documentation and design standards, and mentor junior team members where needed.
