Your new role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for building services projects. You will lead selected projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the technical development of the team. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with clients from concept through topletion.Key responsibilities include:
  • - Leading electrical design elements on selected projects
  • - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • - Attending client meetings and presenting technical solutions
  • - Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
  • - Ensuringpliance with technical standards and regulations
  • - Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawings
  • - Supporting the integration of sustainable and low-carbon technologies
  • - Engaging in all project stages from feasibility to handover
  • What you'll need to succeed

    To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • - A degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent); HNC/HND with substantial experience will also be considered
  • - Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation
  • - At least 3–4 years’ experience in building services design
  • - Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Amtech, Relux/DIALux, and Microsoft Office
  • - Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and CIBSE guidelines
  • - Excellentmunication and team collaboration skills
  • - Understanding of HV/LV systems and embedded generation
  • - Familiarity with renewable technologies and sustainable design principles
  • - Experience with BREEAM and HTM standards is advantageous
  • - An appreciation of mechanical engineering to contribute across disciplines
