Corsham or Oakhanger (Hybrid - typically 2 days/week onsite)
£71-£87 per hour (Umbrella, inside IR35)
24-week contract
Must be eligible for SC Security Clearance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the ongoing transformation of a major UK defence communications network.
You'll be supporting critical infrastructure projects related to the UK MOD's satellite network, contributing to modernisation and improved reliability of key ground-based systems. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role that will see you working on everything from switchgear upgrades to lightning protection systems within secure, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver electrical infrastructure solutions across secure facilities. Review and specify systems involving switchgear, transformers, cabling, and circuit protection. Provide expert input on compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition) and UK safety legislation. Advise on best practices for EMI reduction, lightning protection, and power distribution. Guide design and delivery teams, ensuring solutions are both compliant and practical.
