Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead / Principal Electrical Engineer to support energy transition and energy security projects. The role will involve developing electrical power system designs to support process design activities. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in the design of large-scale industrial power systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical power systems for complex energy projects.
  • Oversee the sizing, selection, and specification of high-voltage equipment, AC/DC UPS systems, large frequency converters, and related systems.
  • Develop philosophies, specifications, and technical deliverables in line with project requirements.
  • Provide input into project estimates, schedules, and technical proposals.
  • Undertake or review power system studies and calculations using ETAP (or similar).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.


Desirable Experience

  • Power system design within H2, NH3, LNG, or refining projects.
  • Hands-on experience with power system studies, modelling, and verification.
  • Strong background in developing philosophies, specifications, and reviewing contractor deliverables.


Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in designing large industrial power systems.
  • Chartered or degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
