The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior EI&C Engineer to lead and support the design, development and commissioning of automated systems for gas processing and filling applications. This is a hands-on, technical role covering concept design through to site handover.

- Location: Based in the UK, with occasional international travel for site work and client engagement

- Employment Type: Full-time, available as either a permanent role or contract position

Key Responsibilities

- Lead design and development of electrical, instrumentation and control systems

- Produce and review documentation: wiring diagrams, I/O lists, FDS and loop diagrams

- Specify and select field instruments, valves, analysers and safety devices

- Design and configure PLC/HMI/SCADA systems (preferably Siemens or Ignition)

- Support FAT, SAT and site commissioning with clients and project teams

- Ensure compliance with IEC, BS, EN, ATEX, SIL and other standards

- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure system integration

- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers

Preferred Experience

- Industrial automation and process control (gas systems, chemical or related sectors)

- Electrical system and control panel design

- Proficiency with tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens TIA Portal and Ignition SCADA

- Understanding of functional safety (SIL) and ATEX/DSEAR compliance

- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions

- Degree in Electrical or Control Engineering; Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desirable

- Willingness to travel as needed for site commissioning and client support
