Overview

A leading engineering organisation based in Hayes, Middlesex is seeking a Senior Design Engineer, Equipment to join their team. This role focuses on the design and development of advanced power converters for high-performance RF amplifiers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high and low voltage switch-mode power converters.
• Leading project teams and mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Supporting new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to production readiness.
• Translating customer requirements into design solutions, verification plans, and compliance documentation.
• Driving investigations, claims, and disputes resolution using root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• A PhD, MSc, or Degree in Electronics (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of power supply design, high-voltage techniques, and RF measurement methods.
• Experience with military specifications and design for manufacture.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
