Job title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Company overview: World Class engineering organization based in Glasgow (Scotland) who are a Global market leaders in sectors for Electronics, Industrial, Instrumentation and many more. This role is to hire for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer on a permanent basis, to support growth in the Glasgow office and R&D roadmap. This position is suitable for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer or a mid-level Electronics Design Engineer seeking progression.

Work arrangement: 3-4 days onsite and rest WFH. Relocation assistance & Sponsorship is provided.

Base salary: £45,000-£60,000 per annum.

Key Qualifications

• 4-5+ years industry experience
• Experience in the full product design lifecycle from concept
• Experience of board level design and mixed signal electronics
• Experience in microcontroller, mixed analogue and digital circuit designs
• Practical experience in Schematics Capture, Layout and PCB layout knowledge
• Experience with Altium or other PCB design tools
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485
• Good understanding of Design for test (DFT) & Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Experience of product compliance & Safety – EMC, LVD, CE Marking
• Debugging, simulation and validation of electronic and system designs
• Experience of creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Electrical/electronic engineering experience in an industrial environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

• Experience with PID controlled systems
• Embedded C
• Microcontrollers – STM32, ARM Cortex Processors
• Product lifecycle management (PLM) software
• Agile Development Experience - SAP, Oracle
• Experience with Toradex based embedded computing modules
• Test equipment development to support production and manufacturing
• Experience of mentoring and coaching junior engineers
