Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer \nLocation: Oxford (Hybrid working available depending on project requirements)\nSalary: Up to £70,000 (Depending on Experience) \n\nOverview of Opportunity: \n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer to take a excel in a Senior Role within a company that delivers advanced technology to a global client base and values innovation, precision, and quality.\n\nThis client designs and manufactures products and systems for a wide range of industries including aerospace & defence. \n\nYou’ll work alongside specialists in firmware, mechanical design and production, and will contribute to both new product innovation and the continual enhancement of existing designs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in analogue and mixed-signal design, especially for sensor-based systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities \nPlay a key part in taking electronic hardware design projects from concept to production. \nDesign and develop low-noise analogue and mixed-signal circuits, including sensor interfacing, ADC/DAC integration and signal conditioning.
\nDevelop and test power supply circuits, including switched-mode and linear regulators. \nWork closely with firmware and mechanical engineering teams to ensure full system functionality and integration. \nCreate and review technical documentation including specifications, schematics, BOMs and test plans.
\nSupport EMC compliance, environmental testing, and design verification processes. \nMentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and best practice. \nInterface with suppliers, production teams and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs.
Candidate Requirements:\n\n Essential: \nDegree qualified in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline). \nA minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronic product development. \nStrong track record in analogue and mixed-signal design, ideally in instrumentation or sensing technologies.
\nConfident in power supply design and PCB layout for noise-sensitive systems. \nExperienced in prototyping, debugging and using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, etc.). \nFamiliar with EMC, environmental, and quality standards for electronic systems.
\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Desirable \nExperience with sensors & transducers &  low-frequency analogue design/low voltage power electronics \nExposure to electronics development for aerospace or defence sectors. \nFamiliarity with Altium Designer or similar PCB CAD tools.
\nKnowledge of environmental testing and design for harsh environments. \nLeadership or mentoring experience within an engineering team.   \n Please Note, All candidates must be be eligible to work in the UK without Sponsorship
