About the Role
We are supporting our client in their search for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their established engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of innovative design solutions and technical support across a diverse range of products. This role covers the full lifecycle—from new product development and prototype design to maintaining and upgrading existing systems to meet evolving client requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Provide design input for new systems and products, while supporting the existing product range.

Work collaboratively with internal teams such as sales, supply chain, and production to deliver optimal technical outcomes.
*
Create and maintain part numbers, bills of materials, and source components and materials as needed.
*
Prepare engineering documentation, including specifications, test procedures, assembly instructions, and technical reports.
*
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company and industry standards.
*
Review and approve drawings and documentation produced by the engineering team.
*
When applicable, lead or mentor a small team, supporting their performance, development, and adherence to engineering standards.

Qualifications and Experience
*
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
*
Proven experience in electronics design, including PCB schematic capture (e.g. Altium Designer).
*
Experience in PCB layout, either in-house or through collaboration with external partners.
*
Knowledge of circuit design for embedded systems (e.g. STM32 or similar).
*
Experience developing embedded software (e.g. STM IDE or comparable tools).
*
Understanding of EMC and Functional Safety design considerations.
*
Familiarity with CE marking and design standards such as IPC.
*
Competence in engineering design software/CAD and Product Lifecycle Management systems.
*
Experience working to marine or defence standards and class society rules (LR, DNV)
