Overview

Senior Embedded Software Engineer is needed to join a well established Bristol company. This role offers a salary up to £75k plus benefits and hybrid working. The position is based in Bristol, England, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Design software for resource-constrained systems—optimizing for memory, processing power, and energy consumption rather than assuming unlimited computing resources.
• Contribute to low-level system design and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Apply testing methodologies and contribute to testing strategy.
• Utilize Python and Git as part of the development workflow.

Qualifications

• 8+ years solid Embedded C programming expertise.
• Strong appreciation for hardware; good understanding of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Experience with Python and Git.
• Ideally a basic understanding of processor architectures.
• Interest in designing software for resource-constrained systems.
