Senior Engineer (Mechanical Bias) - Packaging Manufacturing


Kaizen Global Group Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a leading Packaging manufacturing company for a Permanent Senior Engineer (Mechanical bias) position based in the North West region. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong mechanical background to join a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing engineering operations, ensuring machinery and site services operate smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and maintain machinery and equipment as appropriate
  • Organise building/engineering contractors as required for installation or repair purposes and monitor their performance against agreed specification, timescale and cost
  • Oversee and support the engineering team, including Shift Engineers, Site Services Engineer, and Engineering Apprentices.
  • Lead engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within complex conditions and strict timescales.
  • Maintain and optimise machinery performance, with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices across the engineering department.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Create a PPM schedule


Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on engineering tools and systems.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical expertise.
  • Experience working under complex conditions and tight deadlines.
  • Proven background in a fast production environment.
  • Previous experience of a Senior Engineering position.
  • Project team leader experience.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Komori, Heidelberg, Bobst, Speedmaster, or Miyakoshi machines.


Additional Information:

  • Primarily mechanical focus.
  • Must be flexible to work on double day shifts. Week 1: Mon-Thurs 0600am-13.25pm Fri 0600am-1300pm / Week 2: Mon-Thurs 13.20pm-21.00pm Fri 12.55pm-18.55pm
  • Salary is DOE (Depending on Experience).
