Senior Engineer, Product Design Engineering

A leading name in aerospace innovation is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of complex, high-integrity design projects that support global defence and civil aviation programmes.
Youll be responsible for full lifecycle mechanical design, from initial concepts through to final delivery, on a range of mission-critical products used in airborne environments.
Youll work on the development of aerospace systems, leading design activity and supporting the wider engineering team. Expect a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will directly shape high-performance solutions.
Deliver detailed mechanical designs using 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
Conduct FEA and CFD simulations to validate performance and structural integrity
Act as Lead Engineer on key projects, with responsibility for cost, schedule, and quality
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drive continuous improvement
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
~Proven track record of delivering mechanical design solutions through the full product lifecycle
~ Comfortable leading projects and working cross-functionally in a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing techniques
SolidWorks CAD proficiency
Familiarity with requirements management and project engineering
