Our team is building a dynamic network to meet the changing demands for electricity and increasingly, renewable electricity – safely, securely and sustainably in the communities we serve.What You’ll Be DoingProject Management of telecoms capital delivery and customer projects.Forecasting and Reporting – assist with the identification and preparation of budgets and manage CAPEX and OPEX spend against project budgets.Stakeholder Engagement and Co-ordination with delivery partners and other key stakeholders.Customer Relationship Management - responding to customers efficiently and effectively.Creating design and engineering documentation (using template solutions) for repeatable works.Device configuration templating / IP Address Assignment.Updating network records / Network/Rack/Floor Drawings for new project work.Supply work instructions to delivery partners to enable procurement, installation and commissioning of telecoms equipment and services, including decommissioning and civil work for new fibre and copper cables or diversions.Requesting and reviewing Change Controls for project works.Validating End-Of-Job documentation.What You’ll BringProject management within telecom environments.IP networking including LAN, WAN and firewall configuration.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Visio and Project.Operational experience with telecom networks and technologies including fibre, copper, microwave radio, and cellular (public/private).Familiar with MPLS-IP, MPLS-TP, PDH, SDH and IP telephony.Knowledge of network synchronisation methods (SyncE, ToD, NTP, Phase).Understanding of telecom power systems including -48v DC, batteries and UPS.Awareness of SP Energy Networks health & safety standards.Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.Proactive and solution-focused, able to work under pressure and deliver viable designs.Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.As a Minimum, You Will DemonstrateDegree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent experience.Experience in project management and operational telecom networks.Knowledge of IP networking, telecom protocols (MPLS, PDH, SDH), and telecom technologies (fibre, copper, microwave, cellular).Skills in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project; strong documentation and stakeholder communication.Understanding of telecom power systems (-48v DC, UPS) and design frameworks (eTOM, ITIL).What’s In It For YouAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
