As a Senior Engineer in Vehicles ATMS at TfL, you will deliver designs, enhancements, and maintenance for Automatic Track Monitoring Systems (ATMS) fitted to LUL trains. Responsibilities include performing planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring asset safety and compliance, calibrating laser-based systems, supporting root cause analysis, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility is required for occasional evening or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance for ATMS on LUL trains.
• Ensure asset safety and compliance with relevant standards.
• Calibrate laser-based tracking systems and related instrumentation.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and records for asset management.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across teams.
• Be flexible for occasional evening or weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience as Site Person in Charge and/or holding relevant LU Depot Track Licences (desirable).
• Knowledge of engineering theory, instrumentation maintenance, project lifecycle, and safety procedures.
• Experience in vehicle-mounted ATMS or similar instrumentation maintenance (preferred).
• Familiarity with laser and fibre optic equipment maintenance (desirable).
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage conflicting requirements.
