Senior Engineer – Investor Management

We are looking for a Senior Engineer in our Investor Management team. The Investor Management team develops and maintains systems that manage investor data, enabling Funding Circle to efficiently manage investor relationships and provide investors with access to their investment data.

Role overview

You will work closely with teams that use investor data, understand their workflows and challenges, and help solve them. You will identify ways to automate manual processes within Engineering and Operations, contribute to both new development and improvements to legacy code, and collaborate across teams.

• You are a teacher, sharing time and expertise to help stakeholders and fellow engineers answer their own questions.
• You proactively problem-solve, identifying and mitigating risks, issues, or control weaknesses in day-to-day work.

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in Ruby, Python, or another major coding language
• Strong fundamentals in programming (data structures, algorithms)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interest or experience in microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka)
• Knowledge of Docker, Agile, Scrum, TDD and/or CI/CD is helpful but not essential
