Thrive Group are recruiting an Engineering Quality Manager for our well established client in the Merthyr Area. Position Overview: The Engineering, Facilities, and Quality Manager is responsible for leading the technical and operational integrity of a Polyurethane Extrusion Production Facility. This role encompasses oversight of factory automation systems, robotics, and PLC programming, alongside facility management and quality assurance processes. The manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring production efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Engineering & Automation: Oversee and optimize factory automation systems, including robotics and PLC-controlled processes, to ensure reliable and efficient production. Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programming for automated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with robotics, control systems, and production equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and equipment upgrades. Ensure proper documentation of automation systems, including electrical schematics, PLC logic, and software versions. understands engineering principles, enabling them to use complex systems and provide project guidance.
