About the Role
A leading ground investigation contractor in Chelmsford is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineering Geologist / Site Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a hands-on role involving site supervision, geotechnical logging, and project delivery across a range of infrastructure and development schemes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise ground investigation works including cable percussive, rotary, and window sampling rigs
*
Conduct detailed logging of soil and rock samples to BS5930 standards
*
Manage site operations, ensuring health & safety compliance and quality control
*
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
*
Prepare factual and interpretive reports for geotechnical and geo-environmental assessments
*
Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
