Senior Engineers : Mechanical Systems : North England - Join to apply for the Senior Engineers : Mechanical Systems : North England role at TipTopJob. This position is with an international Defence and Weapons Systems company; salary and seniority depend on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing the package of design evidence required to justify a safe, effective design and generate customer confidence in the design solution.
• Specifying and assisting in the build of prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing.
• Providing timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
• Ensuring that commitments are agreed, reviewed and met.
• Mentoring junior engineers regarding technical matters.
• Making presentations to technical and management audiences and staying abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
• Author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations as required.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science Subjects.
• Ability to design documentation and present to customers and wider groups.
• Ability to solve complex engineering calculations.
• Engineering Life-cycle background.
• Proficient in CAD, MS Office and comfortable with other IT applications.
