The successful Senior Fire Engineer will have a minimum of an Engineering degree, and is a member of the IFE. An MSc/ MEng in related fire or engineering subjects would be desirable. Previous experience within a related role.The Senior Fire Engineer Role Responsibilities

Applying core fire engineering principles, regulatory framework, codes and standards) on simple fire safety design projects. Develop peripheral Core Technical Knowledge e.g. product knowledge and testing standards through observation, shadowing of more senior engineers and self-development. Site visits and client / project team meetings. Put forward solutions based on codes, standards, technical evidence and previous work / case studies. Undertake self-analysis of technical development needs and actively seek out support to address knowledge shortfall. Suggest new, and seek out opportunities on existing research and development projects. Project manage small schemes from inception to completion (under the direction of a Project Director), including the preparation of fee proposals.
