Overview

My client, a well-respected, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the diverse, industrial town of Bolton.

Essential Criteria

• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline
• Extensive experience of having worked in a design-based role, and in a consultancy setting
• Experience of having produced flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
• Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
• Competent in the use of Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages
• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

Desirable

• Experience of team or project leadership
• Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset

Role and Responsibilities

• Contributing to a number of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
• Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
• Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
• Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
• Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
• Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
• Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
• Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
