Overview

My client, a diverse, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the historically-significant, richly cultural town of Rochdale.

Essential Criteria

• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology, or other relevant qualification
• Extensive experience of having worked in a design-based role, especially in a consultancy setting
• Experience of having produced flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
• Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S278, etc.)
• Competent in the use of Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and other, similar software packages
• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

Desirable

• Experience of team or project leadership
• Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset

Responsibilities

• Contributing to an array of interesting projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
• Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, adhering to the given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
• Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
• Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
• Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
• Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
• Developing, maintaining, and managing client and stakeholder relations
• Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
